Syma Chowdhry is a veteran Emmy winning television news anchor, on-the-scene reporter and journalist. Syma is currently a reporter for KYW-TV in Philadelphia. Prior to that she anchored First Forecast Mornings every weekday on CBS' WWJ-TV and CW 50 in Detroit.

Syma's reporting background includes Cablevision's News 12 New Jersey, the country's largest regional 24-hour newschannel, where she quickly rose from Entertainment Reporter to one of the New York City metro area's most accomplished street journalists. On any given day Syma would report live from the scenes of shootings and house fires, seeking out the story and bringing to the viewers the impact it had on people. Her reports would also include spotlights on community organizations, the famous Jersey Shore and even swimming with sharks!
Syma Chowdhry is a native of New Jersey. She graduated from Temple University. Syma was an Emmy Award winner in 2013 for her work as an anchor and host in Detroit and received a 2008 Telly Award for her features reporting with News 12 New Jersey.
